It really feels so much more like a sandbox than it's default really expects. Choices which can be ignored or explored later. or shall I be a straight up mage? The story bends based on these choices. shall I be a Vampire this time? Or a Werewolf? Or Neither? or Both? Do I dare become a sneaky assassin in the Brotherhood. There are the multitudes of secondary paths to explore as well. also provides unique experiences every time. The variety of character options, narrow though they may seem at first. There's a depth to Skyrim (in fact in most Bethesda offerings) that eludes a simple scan or single play-through. I'd say Skyrim has what feel like, though may or may not be, a bigger and more robust world. like all things there is a certain element of taste that needs be met and for everyone those tastes will vary. I dont even understand why OP is asking this, just play them both, you will not go astray with that path. Said in Skyrim or The witcher I definitely had more fun and was more blown away from Skyrim :D both great though.
